“ Fantastic pizza! Soft top side crust with a nice crunchy base. We got the pepperoni and it ranks up there; even garnering the approval of my teenage son!! ”
“ Great atmosphere, great pizza, a little pricey but worth it. Domestic drafts were $3.50 which made the place even better. ”
“ I had heard two things before going to Hounddog's: that it was a bar and that it had good pizza. I'm here to tell you it's so much more than the sum of those parts! Hounddog's is a vibe. It has all these dark, fun little booths, nooks and crannies. There is a pool table area. There is stained glass. The staff is lovely! We had our team holiday party here and it was super fun. A little loud, but good times. Pizza was super good - we had chicken bacon ranch, sausage and the one with spicy sausage and sauerkraut. All better than expected! Mozzarella sticks and cheesy bread starters were aces, too. I'd definitely go back! ”
“ I've been wanting to go here for awhile because many people have mentioned it to me- it seems to be a Columbus institution. Inside decor is tavern like. Bathroom is gross. Customer service is a little crass but I did call ahead and they were okay with me scheduling a pick you up time. It wasn't ready when I arrived but at least I knew it was freshly made after waiting for a while. Pizza was fine. Not bad but not great. Very greasy. The pesto pizza was very muted on the pesto, was very tomato forward. Smoking Joes crust was good. Glad I went and will probably return if someone else is really driving that we go there, wouldn't probably select it in my own. ”
“ I've been coming here for about 8 years now. Pro Tips: - Don't get appetizers. I haven't had any that are notable. - The happy hour special Monday-Thursday includes a large pizza and a pitcher deal making the pitcher effectively $2 which is crazy. - THE PIZZA IS THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD! - The house made ranch is made FOR the pizza! What to get: - Large Pepperoni Pizza (split between 2-3 ppl) - Smokin Joe's Crust (Garlic Butter Crust) - Side of RANCH for EVERY person at the table. ($1 ea.) Their ranch is house made and you can buy it by the pint if you wish which is actually more cost effective sometimes. When I tell you the ranch is phenomenal with their pizza I truly mean it. I have converted many friends who don't usually like ranch and or ranch on their pizza. The ranch they make here is truly one of a kind and I would play upwards of $5000 for the recipe. Please hit me up. Serious inquires only... note: Hounddog's crusts can be very crispy and can scrape the roof of your mouth. I find this to be the case especially when I haven't eaten all day and I'm devouring the pizza without hesitation. note to the note: The ranch helps with the crispy crust if it's not your thing. (Guys I'm tell you... It's awesome.) Their pepperoni pizza is around $22 at the time of writing this review and packs in so many great flavors and is my family and I's go-to. The specialty pizzas are expensive at $28 but provide a very notable option as well. I personally love the Pesto Pie and the ranch works well with it too. But I'm afraid I don't get it frequently because I find just as much enjoyment out of the $22 pepperoni pizza. Their cheese pizza is also very cheesy and has its own beautiful qualities at $20. If nothing else, I hope I sold you on the ranch. ”
“ First time in. It's been on our list for a long time. Wow I'm glad we did. The pizza is amazing. We were torn on which one to get, so many sounded good. We asked our server Bill what he likes and he said the breakfast pizza is the best. So that's what we got. It's a huge place. Tons of tables. Big tables for groups. Pool tables. Bar. We got the breakfast pizza and the regular pepperoni and cheese. Both were very different and very delicious. The pepperoni and cheese was great cold the next day, which is one of my pizza requirements. The breakfast pizza is amazing. It's serve with warm syrup. Wow. The flavor profile is to die for. I had it in the toaster oven the next day for breakfast and it was just as good as the night before when it was fresh. Wow. The Buffalo chicken balls were SO GOOD. The loaded fries were absolutely amazing. Wow. The flavor! Can't wait to go back!! ”
“ Love their pizza here! Always get the smokin' joes crust! So good! If you dine in it's a great place for people watching. One of my favorite pizza places in C-bus ”
